Dean's Foreword

The citations for research publications in music history, music theory, and music education are similar in form to those of other disciplines; recordings, editions and arrangements of music, and original compositions are not far removed.

Performance--by Faculty members and of Faculty members' compositions--is the main medium through which much creative activity is communicated to and judged by our peers and the general public. The citations below of this activity are representative rather than exhaustive. The Dean's selection has emphasized professional performances that were broadcast, or that were given outside London, or that were sponsored externally. Further, the selection generally omits performance as a member of a large ensemble, even though such engagements do involve peer review and endorsement.

The performance citations as a whole are listed in chronological order. Within a citation, composers whose works were performed are listed (where it is practical to do so) in alphabetical order; performers are also listed in alphabetical order. For all citations, UWO personnel are identified with boldface type.
