I am 23 years old and was born and raised in the thriving metropolis of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Just as many Southerners may have predicted, I spent my time in the North hunting seals and building igloos up until the ripe age of nineteen. At this age I had to say goodbye to my Northern ways and continue on with my formal education. Attending the University of Western Ontario from the Fall of 2001 to Spring 2005, I have graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Medical Science degree in Biochemistry. Due to my unbelievably intense passion for research I have decided to take my education one step further and embark on a Masters of Science degree in the Gan/O’Gorman laboratory through the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology.

Here my job will be to

  1. Help provide answers to previously unanswered questions about Dupuytren’s Contracture and Wound Healing and
  2. Combat Murphy’s Law while doing so.

After completing my MSc., I plan on applying to medical school in order to continue my education in the medical sciences and to take one step further in fulfilling my dream of becoming a medical doctor.
