Luke Ingratta Awarded Prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarship

Congratulations to Luke Ingratta on winning of this year's prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarships. Launched in 2012, the $100-million scholarship program – funded by Canadian philanthropist Seymour Schulich – provides for 50 undergraduate scholarships across top Canadian universities each year. Ingratta will be entering Western’s Science program this Fall and hopes to focus his studies on Physics.

Luke Ingratta's Biography

My name is Luke Ingratta, I am 17 years old and I am currently living in Strathroy, Ontario. I attended Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School and will be entering the Faculty of Science at Western this fall. While I have a genuine passion for many fields of science, I am especially interested in Physics and hope to make this the focus of my studies at Western. Apart from science, I also enjoy theatre and have participated in a number of stage performances, the highlight of which was a production of Les Miserable at the Grande Theatre in London. During my high school career I was involved in a number of extra-curricular activities including a role as Finance Captain for my school’s Relay for Life Committee and representing my school in the Student Cabinet of the London District School Board’s Student Leadership Counsel. I hope to get involved with similar events at Western. Although I am a little uncertain of what to expect when university starts, I am especially excited to meet new people and begin my post-secondary journey.
