Description: |
JDRF provides seed funding for highly innovative, high-risk-high-reward research with significant potential to accelerate
the mission of JDRF. Proposals should address key outstanding questions and have the potential to lead to a challenge or
a change in the current paradigm or conventional wisdom and/or lead to a groundbreaking discovery. Preliminary data is
not required in the proposal, but the underlying concept, premise or hypothesis must be plausible and testable, and the
proposal must be focused with a well-defined goal that is achievable within the timeframe and amount of the award. |

Application Details: |
Applicants must hold an M.D., D.M.D., D.V.M., Ph.D., or equivalent and have a faculty position or equivalent at a college, university, medical school, or other research facility. Access and submit full applications (including research plans) via RMS360.
INDIRECT COSTS OF 10% MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BUDGET |

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
