SPARK NS is an independent non-profit translational research organization dedicated to efficiently
advancing promising neuroscience discoveries from the lab to the clinic. For the SPARK NS
Translational Research Program, 2026 Cohort, SPARK NS will select academic PIs with therapeutic
discoveries in Parkinson?s disease or autism at any stage of development between target
identification and entry into clinical trials. Proposed projects must: Address an unmet clinical need in Parkinson?s disease or autism; Use a robust and novel approach; Have a high probability of success at accomplishing proposed translational objectives |

Application Details: |
The SPARK NS application is a two-part process. 1) Applicants will submit applications that will be
reviewed by a selection committee of SPARK NS scientists and industry advisors for administrative
compliance and scientific validity as well as fit for the program. 2) Finalists will be
selected from the pool of applicants and invited to present virtually to the selection committee. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM Pacific Time through the Spark NS application portal.
10% INDIRECT COSTS MAY BE APPLIED |
NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
