Description: |
The objective of the Transformation stream is to support large-scale, Canadian-led interdisciplinary research projects that address a major challenge with the potential to realize real and lasting change. The challenge may be fundamental, leading to a scientific breakthrough, or applied, with a social, economic, environmental or health impact. Projects are expected to be world-leading, drawing on global research expertise, when relevant. |

Application Details: |
All applications must submit a notice of intent to apply (NOI) and letter of intent to apply (LOI). Only successful LOIs are invited to submit a full application. The full application guide will be available before the NOI deadline.
Refer to the Best Practices in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Guide and evaluation matrices for additional information on how to complete the application process. Applicants who have been successful at the Letter of Intent phase will be invited to submit full applications. ROLA Proposals are required at the LOI and Full Application stages.25% INDIRECT COSTS MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET. |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
