Description:

The goal of the Transformational Research Program is to provide funding for preclinical translational research that will accelerate the development of therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases of aging.

Eligible Principal Applicants must be researchers working in Canada at least 30% of the time at or above the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent, and be affiliated with a Canada Revenue Agency-qualified donee institution located in Canada. Co-Applicants/Collaborators must be at the post-doctoral level or above and can be working outside Canada.

Application Details:

Applicants must be at or above the level of assistant professor at a CRA qualified donee in Canada. There are two stages to the application process: Letter Of Intent and Proposals.

Applicants whose LOIs meet the review criteria and are favourably reviewed will be invited to submit a Proposal. Any Proposal submitted pursuant to this Program must be approved by the institution on whose behalf or through which the Proposal is being submitted.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
