Description: |
As a priority of the Bone and Joint Institute, the Catalyst Grant will provide seed funding for new transdisciplinary research initiatives to encourage collaboration among disciplines.
Projects must be relevant to musculoskeletal health and have the potential to lead to new research initiatives with potential for high impact. The grants are intended for transdisciplinary teams that will initiate new projects for which external funding would otherwise be difficult to obtain due to the early-stage nature of the proposed project. |

Application Details: |
Applicants can apply for only one grant each year. Grants are for seed funding and therefore are non-renewable. These awards provide money to initiate new projects and are not to sustain ongoing research.
Each application must be submitted by two or more faculty, who are members of the Bone and Joint Institute. Preference will be given to teams that include new investigators (within 5 years of their first academic appointment).Individuals who submit an NOI will receive a link to the portal directly from the BJI by email. NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
