Mitacs-Accelerate is Canada's premiere research internship program. It connects companies with over 50 research-based universities through graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, who apply their specialized expertise to business research challenges. Interns transfer their skills from theory to real-world application, while the companies gain a competitive advantage by accessing high-quality research expertise. Mitacs and SOSCIP are partnering together to bring Ontario-based companies our collective resources.

Application Details: |
Standard Mitacs-Accelerate applications are accepted throughout the year and projects may begin at any time. The intern must be a graduate student or post-doctoral fellow enrolled at a Canadian university. Each 4-month internship project receives $15,000 in direct funding, with the partner organization and Mitacs each providing $7,500. For a limited time, SOSCIP is waiving the Project Access Fee for all new cleantech-related projects involving an Ontario-based industry/non-profit partner and a SOSCIP academic member institution. This opportunity is open to all research disciplines requiring computing support. Through a joint application, streamlined project funding is provided through the Mitacs Accelerate program. NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
