There are no minimum or maximum dollar amounts that can be requested. Projects can range from six months to five years in duration. However, all projects should first be defined by the scope of research and development that needs to be carried out, after which an appropriate project budget and duration can be determined.

Application Details: APC's mission is to support R&D that will help drive the Canadian automotive sector to a greater level of innovation. APC's emphasis will be on transformative, integrated projects or programs that will give Canadian industry and academia the resources required to further their automotive research and development ambitions. Smaller projects are also eligible for support through APC. However, the urgent requirement to boost automotive research will require big ideas and wide-ranging resources. Please note that unsolicited full proposals will not be accepted by APC. Do not prepare a full proposal until advised to do so by the APC Project Office.APC requires applicants to fill out certain portions of the NSERC Form 101 ? Application for a Grant, including signatures, to provide basic information about the proposal. Academic applicants are required to include an up-to-date copy of their NSERC Form 100 - Personal Data Form. The industrial partners on a project are required to provide a completed and signed NSERC Form 183A.
NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline.
