Description:

This program is assists new researchers in obtaining the advice, guidance and supervision of an established mentor in a selected area of suicide research.

In addition to a maximum of $80,000 for the investigator's research, these grants provide an additional $10,000 ($5,000 per year) for an established suicide researcher who will mentor the Young Investigator.

Application Details:

Evaluation of applications will include consideration of the mentoring plan and the opportunities provided for the applicant to receive meaningful guidance in carrying out the proposed research.

INDIRECT COSTS MUST NOT BE LEVIED ON THIS PROGRAM

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission.
