Description: |
This program is assists new researchers in obtaining the advice, guidance and supervision of an established mentor in a selected area of suicide research. In addition to a maximum of $80,000 for the investigator's research, these grants provide an additional $10,000 ($5,000 per year) for an established suicide researcher who will mentor the Young Investigator. |

Evaluation of applications will include consideration of the mentoring plan and the opportunities provided for the applicant to receive meaningful guidance in carrying out the proposed research. Applications are to be submitted electronically on the AFSP Application and Grants Management Portal
