Description: |
The principal applicant must be a member of the CHRI.
The principal applicant must have a university appointment.
The research activity, clinical or basic, must be performed in a London based
institution or its affiliated institutions. The application must be signed by the Applicant, and the CHRI Program Chair.
Submit the original application with required signatures, and an electronic copy of the
application in pdf format to the Administrative Offices of the CHRI by 4:30 p.m. on the deadline day. Submit the electronic copy of the application to koustrup@lhsc.on.ca and the original application to:

Application Details: |
Applications for the following types of research projects will be considered:
i) Gap B funding for projects submitted and assessed by CIHR in the recent
competition with a minimum score within the 50 th percentile or better but not funded
(priority for this competition: limit $7,500).
ii) Start up projects especially for new staff members? particularly projects which have
potential for extramural funding (limit $7,500).
iii) New projects for established staff members, particularly projects which have potential
for extramural funding (limit $7,500).
iv) Partial support for graduate students in medical/scientific programs (limit $7,500).
v) Support for equipment (sole or partial funding? limit $7,500).
Requests for support are not renewable.
Applications for travel funds will not be considered.Funds must be utilized within 24 months from the date of award notification. A statement
of expenditures must be provided at the end of the project period. Any unexpended
funds must be returned to the CHRI IRGF.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
