Description: |
Western will invest in a limited number of interdisciplinary development initiatives (IDIs) that have a demonstrated potential to become national and international models for excellence. The IDI program is intended to seed new interdisciplinary collaborations. IDIs will be exceptional programs that advance Western?s research mission, attract scholars and graduate students to our university, and bring prestige to the institution. These IDIs, led by established or emerging scholars, will have clearly articulated research dimensions and objectives. There are two IDI streams for this round. Stream 1 will support smaller initiatives of up to one year in
duration, with a maximum value of $35,000. Stream 2 will support larger initiatives of up to two years in
duration, with a maximum value of $200,000. |

IDIs are open to researchers in all disciplines and Faculties. Proposals must identify a project leader and at least one co-investigator.Please visit the program website for full details. |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
