Description: |
Western Research, on behalf of the Vice-President (Research), invites applications from all eligible individuals for Western?s Postdoctoral Fellowships Program. This program is administered by Western Research. The applicant?s PhD must have been granted (official convocation/graduation date) must have been granted (official convocation/graduation date) within five (5) years prior to the proposed start date of the Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Applicants who currently hold a postdoctoral position at Western, or have previously held a
postdoctoral position at Western, are not eligible to apply.

Application Details: |
Western Research will contribute 50% of base fellowship (stipend and recoverable benefits) plus
$5,000 per year research allowance for a total maximum contribution of $90,997 over the term of
the postdoc (maximum 2 years). The host faculty and/or supervisor is responsible for securing, at
minimum, the remaining 50% of the stipend. Please note: This matching funding must be secured
and confirmed at the time of application.The Principal Supervisor of the postdoctoral applicant must submit a complete application form
(written for a lay audience) and submit it via the online submission portal with the required attachments.
ROLA Proposals must be submitted by the Principal Supervisor no later than April 29, 2025

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
