Description: |
The France-Canada Research Fund (FCRF) acts to promote and develop Franco-Canadian scientific and academic exchanges of excellence in every field of research.
This program provides funding for new scientific collaboration between French and Canadian research teams that have never worked together before.
The grants available range in value from $8,000 to $15,000, depending on the requirements presented by project managers. It may be possible to obtain additional funding beyond FCRF funds. A call for proposals is sent out on an annual basis. Open to ALL research fields and encouraging interdisciplinarity.
As Institutions can only submit a maximum of five applications, please complete the internal Notice of Intent form to express interest to apply by October 28, 2024. This has been established to allow for an internal selection process to occur. |

Application Details: |
This financing is primarily intended to support the mobility of researchers and their students.
Submitted proposals must be joint projects between a French institution (all universities, Grandes ?coles, and research organizations are eligible) and one of the 20 FCRF?s Canadian member universities. The application form must be sent to both assistant.science@ambafrance-ca.org and researchoffice@uwo.ca (UWO's Canadian Correspondent). The form can be completed in either english or in french. NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
