Description: |
The Project Grant is designed to capture ideas with the greatest potential to advance health-related knowledge, health research, health care, health systems, and/or health outcomes. It supports projects with a specific purpose and a defined endpoint. The best ideas may stem from new, incremental, innovative, and/or high-risk lines of inquiry or knowledge translation approaches. The Project Grant Program is expected to: Support a diverse portfolio of health-related research and knowledge translation projects at any stage, from discovery to application, including commercialization; Contribute to the creation and use of health-related knowledge; Promote relevant collaborations across disciplines, professions, and sectors.
Researchers who intend to apply for a Project Grant must complete their registration in ResearchNet by/before March 4th, 8pm ET |

Application Details: |
The Nominated Principal Applicant must be an independent researcher or a knowledge user. The Nominated Principal Applicant must have an academic or research appointment at an eligible institution if they are an independent researcher. If the Nominated Principal Applicant is a knowledge user, there must be at least one Principal Applicant who is an independent researcher. NEW INTERNAL PROCESS: For Internal deadline March 19th 2021: You must submit a ROLA proposal and Submit the full CIHR application and all CCVs and attachments in ResearchNet. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THE APPLICATION TO RESEARCH SERVICES.
EXTERNAL: April 1st 2021 by/before 2pm ET. Submit your final application in ResearchNet. When you submit your application in ResearchNet, it will be routed through Research Services for review and final submission to CIHR. Research Services must forward applications to CIHR prior to the sponsor deadline.INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT APPLICABLE |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
