Description: |
This Program offers the opportunity to nominate outstanding researchers for senior professorships to further the institution's overall research priorities & enable them to maximize their contributions as centres of research & research training. Nominees for Tier 2 positions are intended to be emerging scholars. They must be assistant or associate professors, or possess the necessary qualifications to be appointed at these levels. Universities must justify nominating to a Tier 2 Chair a professor or a researcher who is more than ten years from the highest degree at the time of nomination. Tier 2 nominees should be excellent emerging researchers who have demonstrated particular research creativity and have demonstrated the potential to achieve international recognition in their fields in the next five to ten years. |

Application Details: |
Nominee must be outstanding researchers having made a major impact in their fields; be recognized internationally as leaders in their fields; have superior records of attracting and supervising graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The program follows a peer-review process governed by the College of Reviewers and the Interdisciplinary Adjudication Committee. Forms must be completed and submitted on the CRC website. NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
