Description:

These grants seek to fund multidisciplinary projects with clear endpoints to advance and de-risk them to a state at which translation is possible, and could attract partners. Maximum request: $150,000 for one year, 1:1.5 matching required. Rolling Call. Review will be conducted on a quarterly basis until the funds are exhausted.

Partner matching of 1:1.5 is required, greater matching will be viewed more favorably by the committee. 50% of matching must be cash. Your application must be accompanied by a commercialization plan provided by the Technology Transfer Office of the Project Leader?s Institution.

Application Details: Potential applicants must register by email to info@glyconet.ca (cc: vsharko@glyconet.ca). Please provide the pro- ject title, anticipated budget request, a 500-word (maximum) summary of the project, and list of investigators in- volved in the project. This information can be modified when the application is submitted although the overall focus must remain the same. Upon registration, applicants will receive instructions for completing the application.

INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT APPLICABLE

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required.
