Description: |
Discovery Horizons grants support investigator-initiated individual and team projects that broadly integrate or transcend disciplines to advance knowledge in the natural sciences and engineering. In the context of this funding opportunity, the term ?interdisciplinary? should be understood to fully encompass all research that connects, crosses or falls in between the traditional disciplines of the three agencies, including transdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, convergence research and other approaches at the interface. Full applications submitted to this NSERC program will be reviewed by a tri-agency interdisciplinary peer review committee. |

The Discovery Horizons application process has two stages:
Letter of intent Deadline: June 16, 2023 and invited Full Application Deadline: October 18, 2023
Please choose the LOI option on your ROLA proposal for this stage. |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
