Description: |
The Early Researcher Award program (ERA) helps promising, recently-appointed Ontario researchers build their research teams of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, research assistants and associates. Each award to a leading researcher is a maximum of $100,000 and must be matched by an additional $50,000 from the researcher's institution and/or a private sector partner. You are eligible if you: are a full-time faculty member or principal investigator at an eligible research institution; have started your academic career on or after January 1, 2015; have completed your first PhD, DVM or MD on or after January 1, 2010; have not already held an Early Researcher Award; are not a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair |

Applications are to be submitted to the Ministry by Western Research no later than June 11, 2021.
For internal information, when completing the ROLA Proposal, please enter the funding request in just one budget period. RDS will adjust the project dates should your application be successful.

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
