Description: |
The Ontario Agri-Food Research Initiative (OAFRI) provides funding for agri-food research and innovation projects in Ontario, which is a key pillar of the Grow Ontario Strategy. The OAFRI program strives to create an application process that adheres to the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion and Indigenization. The knowledge translation and transfer (KTT) stream is focused on activities designed to drive the transformation of research knowledge into use faster, including:
synthesis; exchange; engagement; dissemination; dialogue; collaboration; brokering between researchers and research users.
These projects go beyond typical communication activities and include an array of knowledge mobilizing activities. |

Application Details: |
Priorities for this can shift annually and reflect key opportunities and challenges facing the agri-food sector and rural communities. Current Priorities are available on the sponsor's website. Please review the details of the priority areas to ensure that your proposal is within scope and addresses one or more of the specific research questions. Applicants can submit full proposals by completing the application template in OMAFRA's Research Management System (RMS).

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
