The HFSP postdoctoral fellowship program provides a unique opportunity for the most talented young
researchers to embark on a new journey that will shape their career trajectory and allows them to pursue their
dream of being recognized for research excellence. Applications who propose an original study to learn new methods or change study system is given preference. Proposals should outline how the PI is expected to be exposed to new theory and methods during the tenure of the award. |

Application Details: |
HFSP Long-Term Fellowships are for applicants to embark on a challenging research project that will broaden
their expertise by proposing a project which is significantly different from their previous PhD or postdoctoral
work. This program requires a letter of intent followed by an INVITED full application.
The fellowship applicant will be notified between mid-August and end of August as to whether his/her Letter of Intent was selected or not for submitting a Full Proposal.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
