Description: |
This funding opportunty is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) through its Institutional Grants (SIG) program and is administered by Western Research . SSHRC Exchange Grants support the organization of small-scale knowledge mobilization activities, such as workshops and seminars, to encourage collaboration and the dissemination of research results both within and beyond the academic community; and allow researchers to attend or present their research at scholarly conferences and other dissemination venues that align with SSHRC?s mandate to advance their careers and encourage the exchange of ideas and research results at the national and international level.
The maximum funding per grant is $5000. |

Application Details: |
Researchers can only submit one application for the Exchange Grant competition and one application for the Explore Grant competition. Eligible researchers may apply for both grants; however only one grant can be awarded per researcher (i.e., a researcher cannot be awarded both an Explore Grant and an Exchange Grant). If a researcher decides to apply for both grants, the review committee reserves the right to decide which grant (if any) will be awarded to that researcher.Combine the completed application form with the required attachments into a single PDF and submit via the internal grants online submission portal no later than March 27th at 3:00 PM. No late submissions will be accepted. ROLA proposal must be received by March 20th.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
