The SSHRC Gold Medal is SSHRC's highest research honour. It is awarded to an individual whose leadership, dedication, and originality of thought have significantly advanced understanding in his or her field of research, enriched Canadian society, and contributed to the country's cultural and intellectual life. |

Application Details: |
The winner receives the Gold Medal and $100,000. The funds can only be used for research, training or other academic activities. Anyone wishing to nominate a colleague or be considered for nomination must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to Julaine Hall in RDSE by January 29, 2021INDIRECT COSTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS PROGRAM. |

NOTE: All Letters of Intent and Full Applications must be processed through Research Development & Services for institutional approval. Requests for Institutional approvals should be received no less than 3 days prior to the posted Sponsor deadline. A ROLA Proposal (bearing applicant, Chair and Dean electronic approvals) is required for each submission. |
