As part of their most recent investigation into the economic history of the Olympic phenomenon, Stephen Wenn (Wilfred Laurier University) and Bob Barney (Western University) carried out research at the IOC Archives in Lausanne Switzerland, while also conducting interviews with IOC officials in office during the presidencies of Michael Killanin, Juan Antonio Samaranch, and Jacques Rogge. A meeting with IOC President Thomas Bach completed the trip.

Wenn and Barney's most recent project investigates the half-century long transformation of the IOC from an impoverished organization to a global commercial entity.
