Dr Luciana Garolla is currently a researcher at the Human Communication Disorders Department at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She received her Doctorate Degree from Federal University of Sao Paulo after spending some time as a visiting researcher at Western University (UWO). At UWO she developed the Brazilian Portuguese speech test signal for use in real ear measurement under the guidance of Dr Susan Scollie. Dr Garolla has also practiced audiology in hospital and private clinic settings for over 10 years. A published author of several articles in highly respected scientific journals, she is dedicated to understanding and improving hearing science in Brazil.
