Charla Levy, Au.D. CCC-A, F-AAA completed her externship year at the National Centre of Audiology. She worked in several of Western's research laboratories at the NCA, predominantly with the Child Amplification Lab, working under Drs. Scollie and Glista, and the Translational Research Unit, working under Mrs. Folkeard. She graduated with honors from Texas State University in Communication Disorders in 2011 and received her Au.D. from the University of North Texas in 2015.
While at UWO, she was published in several papers for her work on Noise Reduction methods and protocols, Frequency Compression, and FM methods. Previously, she has worked with Dr. Amyn Amlani in the Hearing Aid Technology Research Laboratory researching hearing aid adoption rates and was published as part of the December 2013 cover article of the Hearing Review. She also aided in an ongoing study examining brain plasticity in individuals with dementia and hearing loss. Her research interests include pediatric amplification fitting techniques, hearing aid technology selection procedures in children and adults, hearing aid affordability, and protocol adaptations for children and adults with multiple co-morbidities.
