Developmental Language Disorder: Steps Toward Implementation in Ontario

On November 9, 2018, the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA) hosted a provincial working session on implementation of new terminology for child language disorders. The session was presented and facilitated by Drs. Lisa Archibald, BJ Cunningham, and Janis Cardy from Western University.

The OSLA working paper and report provide a list of resolutions for consideration by the membership, as well as a detailed report.

Our goal is that every Ontario speech-language pathologist read this report.

  • * We invite you to watch the video presentation of the paper with your colleagues.
  • * We encourage discussion and action as we engage in advocacy for children with language disorders.
  • * We welcome responses by email to mail@osla.on.ca or Lisa Archibald at larchiba@uwo.ca
