Ahmad, Dildar
Professor Emeritus Dildar Ahmad died on April 11, 2018 at the age of 85. When he retired in 1998, Professor Ahmad had 29 years of service as a faculty member in the Department of Medicine.
Bailey, Gordon
When he retired in 1989, Gordon Bailey had 40 years of service at Western as a staff member with Facilities Management. Gordon died on March 27, 2018 at the age of 93.
Balogh, Ilona
Retired Plant Sciences staff member Ilona Balogh, died on October 7, 2018 at the age of 93. When she retired in 1990, Ilona had 21 years of service at Western.
Bedford, Randy
Western Technology Services staff member Randy Bedford died on November 6, 2018 at the age of 53. At the time of his passing Randy had 13 years of service at Western.
Bezzina, Charles
When Charles Bezzina retired from Facilities Management in 1996 he had 25 years of service at Western. Charles died on Feb. 26, 2018 at the age of 86.
Burjaw, Frederick 'Rick'
Retired DAN Management faculty member, Rick Burjaw died on August 7, 2018 at the age of 73. When he retired in 2016, Rick had 12 years of service at Western.
Chubak, Peter
Retired Facilities Management staff member, Peter Chubak died on February 24, 2018 at the age of 85. When he retired in 1997, Peter had 12 years of service at Western.
Cope, Maisie
Maisie Cope, a retired staff member from the Office of the President, died on August 9, 2018 at the age of 70. When Maisie retired in 2013 she had 14 years of service at Western.
Coutu, Bruce
Bruce Coutu retired in 1996 after nine years of service as a staff member from the Department of Housing - Residence Services. Bruce died on January 24, 2018 at the age of 87.
Elson, Margaret
When she retired as a staff member in the Faculty of Engineering, Margaret Elson had 19 years of service at Western. Margaret died on April 29, 2018 at the age of 86.
Fernando, Rajulton
Professor Emeritus, Rajulton Fernando retired from the Department of Sociology in 2010, with 23 years of service at Western. Rajulton died on December 11, 2018 at the age of 72.
Garfield, Paul David
Dave Garfield was a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry for 12 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He died on March 16, 2018 at the age of 84.
Harris, Richard
Retired Department of Biology staff member, Richard Harris died on December, 16, 2018 at the age of 68. When he retired from Western in 2011, Richard had 38 years of service at Western.
Hibbert, Dorothy
Professor Emeritus, Dorothy Hibbert was the former Dean of Nursing until she retired in 1977. Dorothy died on April 13, 2018 at the age of 103. She had 14 years of service at Western.
Huang, Meilin
Meilin Huang, a staff member in Western Technology Services, died on March 1, 2018 at the age of 55. At the time of her passing Meilin had 16 years of service at Western.
King, Roger
Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the Department of Geography, Roger King died on August 5, 2018 at the age of 76. When he retired from Western in 2007, Dr. King had 37 years of service at Western.
McMillan, Donald
Professor Emeritus Donald McMillan, a retired faculty member from the Faculty of Science, died on December 18,
Millman, Brock
Professor Brock Millman, a faculty member in the Department of History died on December 3, 2018 at the age of 54. At the time of his passing Brock had 17 years of service at Western.
More, Roger
Professor Emeritus, Roger More, a retired faculty member from Ivey Business School died on October 10, 2018 at the age of 76. When he retired from Ivey in 2017, Roger had 44 years of service.
Mosley, 'Mike'
Michael John Mosley, better known as ‘Mike’, passed away peacefully July 13, 2018 at the age of 64. Many knew Mike as one of the leads in Health and Safety at Western University.
Mike is survived by his best friend of 62 years and wife of 37, Susan, and his two sons Brian and Warren.
Olson, Allan
Allan Olson, retired as a faculty member, from the department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering in 1996 after 38 years of service at Western. Allan died on January 13, 2018 at the age of 87.
Osborn, Sylvia L.
Professor Emeritus Sylvia Osborn had 40 years of service at Western prior to her retirement in 2017. She died on May 23, 2018 at the age of 69.
Przytulski, Regina
Regina Przytulski, a retired staff member from Facilities Management, died on October 28 at the age of 88. When she retired in 1995, Regina had 24 years of service at Western.
Ricker, Marion
Marion Ricker had 23 years of service working in Western Libraries when she retired in 1996. Marion died on April 4, 2018 at the age of 84.
Reuber, Grant L.
Grant Reuber, Honorary Professor and former Chancellor, who served the university in multiple capacities, including Chair of Economics and Sociology, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Provost & Vice-President (Academic) over the duration of 1957 to 1993, died on July 7, 2018 at the age of 90.
Scott, Patricia
Patricia Scott, a retired staff member from Graphic Services died on March 25, 2018 at the age of 71. When Patricia retired in 2012 she had 31 years of service at Western.
Sharpe, Robert
Robert Sharpe, a retired staff member from Facilities Management, died on January 15, 2018 at the age of 90. When he retired from Western in 1993, Robert had 28 years of service at Western.
Sheasby, John
Professor Emeritus, John Sheasby, a retired Faculty member from the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering died on March 19, 2018 at the age of 79. When John retired in 2004 he had 38 years of service at Western.
Trevithick, John
Professor Emeritus, John Trevithick, a retired Faculty member from the Department of Biochemistry, died on February 20, 2018 at the age of 80. When he retired in 2004, John had 37 years of service at Western.
Turner, Bruce
Bruce Turner, a retired staff member from Dental Clinics, died on March 13, 2018 at the age of 79. When he retired in 2003, Bruce had 18 years of service at Western.
VanOstrand, George W.
Professor Emeritus, George VanOstrand retired from the Faculty of Music in 1997 after 28 years of service. He passed away peacefully on September 25, 2018 at the age of 86.
Wlodarczyk, Genowefa
Retired Facilities Management staff member, Genowefa Wlodarczyk died on November 6, 2018 at the age of 92. When she retired in 1991, Genowefa had 16 years of service at Western.
Wonnacott, Richard
Professor Emeritus, Ronald Wonnacott, a retired Faculty member from the Department of Economics, died on January 29, 2018 at the age of 87. When he retired in 1996, Ron had 38 years of service at Western.
