Research Building

Facilities include a 232 m2 building housing dry and wet laboratories to prepare and process research materials.  Other facilities include climate controlled seed storage, a plant material drying room, meeting room, administration offices and lunch area with kitchen facilities.  There is also a heated workshop used for repairs and construction of specialized items used in research.

The station also houses The Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR), a research institute within the Western Faculty of Engineering, and the Purple Crow Lidar, which operates from the Echo Base Observatory at the station.
