Sarah Buck

Sarah Buck
Director, Pierre L. Morrissette Institute For Entrepreneurship

Sarah Buck has been instrumental in the development of the Ivey Business School's Entrepreneurship program. Since joining the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship in 2003, Sarah has worked closely with faculty, alumni, and students, to create a variety of initiatives that drive the Institute's teaching, academic, and outreach activities.

As a native Londoner, Sarah is also involvement in helping local Entrepreneurs and supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Sarah is also a co-founders of Lady Leaders of London, a community ofsupport and mentorship for London-based women entrepreneurs. Sarah is on the Board of the LEADER Project, and has had the privilege of meeting and working with site partners in Africa, Southeast Asia and Central America. She is also a member of the Western African Institute.



Lisa Cechetto

Lisa Cechetto
Executive Director, WORLDiscoveries

Lisa Cechetto is the new Executive Director of WORLDiscoveries. With more than 10 years of patent and business development-related experience, Cechetto has worked in both industry and academia. Her most recent appointment was Director of Business Development and Intellectual Property at Institute Pasteur Korea. In this role, she was responsible for the commercialization of the institute’s research inputs while balancing the interests of key stakeholders including government, faculty and third parties.



Burns Cheadle

Burns Cheadle
Director, Science Professionalism & Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Science

Burns Cheadle is Director, Science Professionalism & Entrepreneurship for the Faculty of Science. After receiving his PhD from Western in 1986, Cheadle worked in the upstream oil and gas industry, achieving successes in technical, leadership and entrepreneurial roles. In 2009, he led the development of the petroleum component of Resource Geoscience Western. In his role, Burns creates and coordinates experiential and reflective learning initiatives aimed at developing professional competencies — including entrepreneurship and innovation — in undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Science.



Kelly Cole

Kelly Cole
Vice-President, External Relations

Kelly Cole is Vice-President (External), working directly with the Campaign Executive Committee, senior leadership and External Relations team to lead the university’s Be Extraordinary campaign. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Advancement for the Ivey Business School. She has 23 years of development experience, including stints with The Fundraising Network and West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation in Toronto.



Deniz Edwards

Deniz Edwards
Director of PROPEL

Deniz Edwards is the Director of Propel, the student entrepreneurship center at Western University. With a background in biomedical engineering, Deniz has spent many years working within the entrepreneurial support ecosystem in the City of London. Deniz spent four years at TechAlliance mentoring entrepreneurs and startups across all industries. More recently, she was the Director of Technology Development at CIMTEC where she worked with early stage startups and lead the development of novel medical technologies.



David Litchfield

David Litchfield
Professor; Vice Dean, Research & Innovation, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry

Biochemistry and Oncology professor David Litchfield has a broad base of training in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmacology. In addition to his role as Vice Dean (Research & Innovation) in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, he currently oversees a research program in the fields of signal transduction and cancer biology with emphasis on protein kinases and the potential of kinase inhibitors as therapeutic agents for applications of Precision Cancer Medicine.



Juan Luis Suarez

Associate Vice-President, Research

Juan Luis Suarez holds a joint appointment in the departments of Modern Languages and Literature and Computer Sciences. An internationally recognized scholar, Suarez is the Director of the CulturePlex Laboratory, which explores how culture affects the spread of ideas and changes the ways people think and behave. He is a creative, multidisciplinary collaborator who has established extensive and wide-ranging, international connections. He is also an entrepreneur, having developed software tools for creative industries, and was co-founder of Milao Language, a language learning start-up.



Darren Meister

Darren Meister
John M. Thompson Chair in Engineering Leadership and Innovation
Western Engineering, Ivey Business School

Darren Meister is the John M. Thompson Chair in Engineering Leadership and Innovation and an Associate Professor of General Management (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) at the Ivey Business School and the former Faculty Director of the HBA and MSc Programs. He is cross-appointed to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Western Engineering. His interests focus on design thinking, technology-based entrepreneurship and the role of technology in enhancing organizational effectiveness, specifically as it concerns innovation processes. His research work is conducted within companies in close cooperation with practitioners.



Eric Morse

Special Advisory to the President and Director of Entrepreneurship

Eric Morse is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and the Executive Director of the Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship at the Ivey Business School. He served as Associate Dean (Programs) for a six-year term, which ended in 2014. Prior to that, Morse was the Inaugural Director of the Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, a post he returned to July 2015. He is the founder of and the Academic Director for Ivey and KPMG Enterprise’s QuantumShiftTM Program for Exceptional Entrepreneur.



Jason Winders

Jason Winders
Director of Editorial Services, Communications and Public Affairs

Jason Winders is Director (Editorial Services), where he helps writers and editors across campus tell the university’s story to a variety of audiences across numerous platforms. Prior to joining Western in 2010, Winders was the Executive Director of the Athens (Ga.) Banner-Herald. He has spent 25 years in journalism, including reporting and editing roles in Illinois, Alabama, North Carolina and Georgia.
