Though writing creatively begins with desire and talent, it is practice and discipline that turns writing into art. Beginning, intermediate and advanced writers all benefit from a community environment that helps sharpen skills, hone ideas, and engage with the craft issues of writing. Our course offerings in fiction, poetry, screenwriting and magazine writing provide you with the tools to create fresh, vivid work in constructive, guided workshop settings. You will emerge as a stronger and more skilled writer.

The Professional Certificate in Creative Writing will be awarded upon successful completion of five courses. Completion of all assignments and attendance of at least 80% of instructional hours is required for successful completion of each course. Not all courses may be offered each year.
