Professor Kim Baines, former progressive chair of the Chemistry Department, has been awarded the prestigious Montreal Medal and a Humboldt Fellowship this week. The Montreal Medal is presented as a mark of distinction and honour to a resident of Canada for an outstanding contribution to the profession of chemistry or chemical engineering in Canada. Prof. Baines is well deserving of this award, with her strong track record of contributing to the advancement of chemistry locally, across Canada and beyond.
