Dr. Ranjith Divigalpitiya (3M) Joins Chemistry as Adjunct Professor
Dr. Ranjith Divigalpitiya is a retired Senior Scientist from 3M Canada, and led research in multiple areas, including: digital x-ray imaging, electrically conducting adhesives, UV photocatalyst for air purification, force sensors, photovoltaics, water purification, sensors for contaminants in water, Li ion battery materials, and nano scale coatings for a variety of commercial applications. He is the inventor of 3M graphene-like-carbon (GLC) coatings, and has extensive experience in 2D materials and their processing. His work resulted in 190 invention submissions at 3M Company. Ranjith is eager to begin materials research collaborations at Western with teams that can benefit from his expertise in materials chemistry.
