Andrew Botterell, Chair of Western's Department of Philosophy, has been working alongside Bahir Dar University's law school in Ethiopia to provide curriculum support. Despite an uncertain political climate in Ethiopia, Botterell aimed to give back through helping Bahir Dar create a new PhD program in law.

Through the Africa Institute, QE II Scholar Badru Mugerwa has been discovering the fears of animals within Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. His research has been focused on identifying how conservationists can strike a balance between wildlife and ecotourism.

The Schulich International Summer Program for International Medical and Healthcare students officially ended on Friday, July 14th. By all accounts, Sile Klenke, Director of Internationalization at Schulich asserts that the Program was a tremendous success and the participating students had very positive feedback.
