Dr. Isola Ajiferuke is an associate professor at the Faculty of Information and Media Studies.
His areas of research interests include the impact of information and communications technologies on development, knowledge management, informetrics, and evaluation of information retrieval systems. The focus of his current research projects is in the area of informetrics.

Prior to joining Western, Dr. Ajiferuke had lectured at the Africa Regional Centre for Information Science, Nigeria, and the Department of Library and Information Studies, University of Botswana, Botswana. He recently completed a 4-year MacArthur Foundation-funded collaborative project with the Africa Regional Centre for Information Science, Nigeria, in 2014, and visited the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Ilorin, Nigeria on a 3-month Carnegie
