In addition to full-time clinical practice, she has been very active for many years in medical education. She has been a member and chair of many undergraduate medical education committees and served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education for two terms.

For the last ten years, Dr. Kenyon has been involved in Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) as a team member of several sequentially funded CIDA/DFATD projects in Rwanda. The projects support the UN-Millennium Development Goals and are focused on continuing professional development for physicians, midwives, and nurses. A newly funded project (2016-2021) will build on previous programs with the goal of developing a sustainable community outreach program in MNCH to support practitioners in rural and regional hospitals in Rwanda with opportunities for expansion of the program to other neighboring East African countries.
