Requesting Access to a Service

Conditions

It must be the user who is going to be assigned the service that makes the request. The application does not currently support requesting services on behalf of another user.

Process

  • Log on.
  • From the 'Request' drop down menu.
  • Select 'Make Request'.
  • Select/Click 'Start' for the service you would like to request.
  • Fill out the form(s) based on your best knowledge and click 'Submit'.
    • You will receive an email confirming your request with the form values you entered.
    • Your request will be routed to the appropriate set of users for approval.
  • If approved:
    • You will receive an email confirming approval.
    • Your request will be routed to the WTS Computer Accounts Office (CAO) to grant access to the service.
    • You will receive notification from the CAO within 2 business days.
  • If denied:
    • You will receive an email confirming denial. The approver has the option to add comments explaining why the request was denied.
    • Your request will be closed.

Viewing the Status of a Request

Conditions

  • From the 'Request' drop down menu.
  • Select 'My Requests'.
  • Select the appropriate request from the list.
  • The status of the request is displayed.
    • The set of users who can approve/deny this request is displayed.

Viewing Archived Requests

Conditions

None.

Process

  • Log on.
  • From the 'Request' drop down menu.
  • Select 'Archived Requests' from the Requests menu.
  • Select the appropriate request from the list.
