The directory stores information about an individual based on; the individuals
themselves and the units or departments they are associated with.

Individual Data
A person can update certain personal information such as their preferred
name, personal title, e-mail address, personal URL, personal FAX number,
private office address and comment. This can be done via the form
Update Request for Personal Data
. To update role information such as job title, phone number and location,
they need to contact their Directory Coordinator.
Department/Unit and Role Data
Updates to department/unit and role information such as job title, phone
number and location will only be accepted from the Directory Coordinator
for that Department/Unit. There are now Distributed update privileges:
The Directory coordinators can update departmental information directly
to the database from a web page.
