Research

Through sculpture I create objects that possess a level of common accessibility while reflecting a certain degree of tension, opening a dialogue to the nature of the object.  Focusing on material and process is a means of generating questions about objects that are imbedded with in pop culture and consumerism, and their relation to the world.  There is a tendency with my work to stretch across a variety of materials including wood, metal, stone, plastics and fabrics with a concentration on learning a variety of practices while emphasizing craftsmanship and finishing.
