The membership of the Senate Committee on Promotion and Tenure II (SCPT-II) for 2000 - 2001 was: E. Skarakis-Doyle (Chair), A. Lee (Vice-Chair), C. Ellis, J. Cote, S. Mangsen, J. Santos (student member) and R. Harris (ex-officio member).
During the 2000 - 2001 academic year, SCPT-II reviewed the cases of twenty-one faculty members recommended for granting of tenure and promotion to Associate Professor. SCPT-II endorsed the recommendations for promotion and tenure in all twenty-one cases. The Committee also reviewed three files for promotion to Associate Professor not in conjunction with granting of tenure and recommended promotion in all three cases.
Under Conditions of Appointment: Physicians Appointed in Clinical Departments and Clinical Divisions of Basic Science Departments (1999), the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry submitted two cases for promotion to Associate Professor and granting of continuing appointment. The committee endorsed the recommendations in both cases. In addition, the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry submitted two cases for promotion to Associate Professor for faculty members appointed under the Appointment and Promotion Procedures: Faculty Employed by Robarts Research Institute Affiliated with The University of Western Ontario. SCPT-II voted to endorse the recommendations for promotion in the two cases.
