Dusseldorf Exchange Travelling Fellowship (3) (Faculty of Arts)

The terms of this fellowship provide for Western students approved to attend the University of Dusseldorf on an exchange program, the value of tuition, including any ancillary and supplementary fees. A revision, made by the Board of Governors in April 1999, ensured that the Dusseldorf program was in line with all other exchange programs. However, the background provided to the Board at that time has been revised to ensure clarity on the details of the award.

Under the terms of exchange programs, outgoing Western students are responsible for all tuition fees and some ancillary and supplemental fees. The Dusseldorf Exchange Travelling Fellowship will cover these costs for the Western students selected to go to Dusseldorf. Under the terms of exchange programs, incoming exchange students are not assessed tuition as it is assumed that they have paid their tuition fees to their home universities. However, they are assessed required ancillary and supplemental fees such as UHIP, the bus pass, Can Copy, and the Western One card. Incoming Dusseldorf exchange students will also be exempt from tuition but will be assessed for the same ancillary and supplemental fees as all other exchange students.
