At the Senate meeting of November 14, 1997, Dr. Alan Weedon, Dean, Faculty of Gradute Studies, was elected to the Board to represent the Faculty constituency for a four-year term [November 15, 1997 - November 14, 2001]. Dr. Weedon succeeds Dr. R.M. Mathur, Dean, Faculty of Engineering Science.
