REPORT OF THE McINTOSH GALLERY COMMITTEE

FOR APPROVAL

1. Statement of Financial Transactions for the Year Ended April 30, 1999 - McIntosh Estate

Recommended: That the Board approve the statement of financial transactions (Annex 1) for the year ended April 30, 1999, in respect to income received by The University of Western Ontario from the McIntosh Estate.

Expenditures during the year amounted to $1,599.48 out of a budget of $12,227.40 and the balance as of April 30, 1999, was $6,588.94. Income for 1999-2000 is expected to be $8,200.00.

2. Appropriations for the Year Ending April 30, 2000

Recommended: That the Board approve appropriations from the McIntosh Estate funds for the year ending April 30, 2000, as follows (details are shown in Annex 2 unavailable on the WWW):

I. Prizes and Scholarships

3. Reappointment of Members-at-Large

Recommended: That Ian Tripp, Dalin Jameson, and Dino Bidinosti be reappointed to the McIntosh Gallery Committee as members at large..

The composition of the McIntosh Gallery Committee includes up to 6 members at large, appointed by the Board of Governors upon nomination by the McIntosh Gallery Committee. Membership terms are one year, renewable.

1. Size and Value of the University Art Collection

The size and value of the University Art Collection as of December 31, 1998, was:

2. Report of the Director

The Director presented her annual report to the Committee for its information. Copies are available on request.
