Great ideas deserve two opportunities - to be shared and to be heard; TEDxWesternU aims to bring these opportunities together. We provide inspirational individuals in Southwestern Ontario with an engaged audience, both in person and online. For the students, the event provides access to interdisciplinary knowledge through a diverse program of speakers.
A diverse and dedicated team of volunteers, ranging from students to alumni and administrative staff at Western University, have taken on planning TEDxWesternU. Building on the TED mission of Ideas Worth Spreading, we are combining our skills, interests, and expertise to deliver an outstanding experience to the student population at Western.
The event will seat 100 delegates, who are eager to learn and be inspired. However, our reach goes beyond just our in-person audience. A livestream will be shared across our social media accounts, as well as through the Western University social network. Our speaker videos will also be available online through the official TEDx YouTube channel and shared through various platforms post-event.
TEDxWesternU will host a diverse group of speakers from the Western University and Southwestern Ontario community. This will include Western professors and alumni, along with influential community members. These speakers are leaders and visionaries, creating impact in their fields of expertise. Their talks will inspire, educate, and provoke thoughts and ideas that will lead to new ways of thinking.
