He chose to come to The University of Western Ontario because of the funding opportunities, the flexible schedule, and because of his voice teacher, Gwenlynn Little, who he describes as being "incredible!"

Kevin is in the Voice Performance program, which does not require a thesis, but instead requires students to put on annual recitals that are 45 minutes to an hour long. Kevin's rece nt recital, on April 1, 2009, consisted of mostly cabaret music. In these performances, students are encouraged to perform in a variety of languages and musical periods.

When asked what his advice would be for fellow grad students, Kevin describes, "Try to experience university to the fullest. Outside of the required classes and work, university provides you with the opportunity to audit courses and participate in a variety of events and clubs. Here you can experience new cultures and discover how vast the world is."

Kevin's future goals include being accepted into a Young Artist Program, which he describes as being similar to an internship for opera singers. He would also like to enter competitions, such as the Metropolitan Opera Audition, to experience the business side of opera, and also collaborate with more great teachers and composers.
