Multicultural Day at Western, March 21, 10am-3pm
Wednesday March 21st, 10am-3pm, UCC Atrium
A day to educate students, bring awareness and celebrate Western’s Multicultural Diversity!
-Calling EVERYONE from various cultural groups/clubs on campus to join us in presenting their culture and promoting diversity to the western community. If you’d like to share and have others experience where you’re from, what you believe, what traditional food you eat, what traditional dances you may know, music you listen to or what traditional clothes you wear, we need you! Our hope is that by promoting diversity and learning about various cultures we will fight back against racism and discrimination.
Please contact the chair of the Equity Committee, Jessica Dubrick at jdubric2@uwo.ca by Friday March 16th to have a table and present.

Income Tax Clinic
Income Tax clinic is operating now from March 12-30, 10am-4pm daily. The Income Tax Clinic for International Students is staffed by volunteers professionally trained by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Volunteers will be available to help you get started (e.g., determining residency status, what forms to use), answer any questions you may have, and teach you the process of how to complete a Canadian income tax return. SOGS Health Plan
Full-Time Graduate Students with alternative health coverage are welcome to opt-out of the SOGS Health Plan Opt-Out at https://grad.uwo.ca/student/index.cfm
Part-time students are not automatically included on the health plan and must submit a completed opt-in form along with payment to the SOGS office by the deadline.
Students on leave and Post-Doctoral Fellows are also eligible for the health plan. Please visit the SOGS website for further details or feel free to drop by the SOGS office before September 31. For more information visit http://www.uwo.ca/sogs/Benefits/

International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
At the beginning of every academic year, the Federation travels around the province to locals during orientation events to issue International Student Identity Cards (ISIC) to members. The International Student Identity Card gives students discounts in countries across the globe and here at home it serves to cut the cost of VIA Rail and Greyhound tickets and other travel services. ISIC would be distributed at our campus in September 19-20, 2011. Students, who are unable to collect ISIC card from Grad Club, can come to the SOGS office (UCC 260).
