The experience of studying in another country and culture is an invaluable one, and the Faculty of Science encourages its students to consider taking some of the courses in their degree abroad. The best year for an exchange is usually the third year of a four-year program. A properly planned exchange (including preapproved courses) can lead directly into a final honors year back at Western. Students who are not fluent in another language should consider an exchange in an English speaking country.
