Admissions Requirements

For Ontario high school students to Year 1 Science and Biological and Medical Sciences First Entry.


Six Grade 12 U and M courses including the following:
  • English (ENG4U)
  • Advanced Functions (MHF4U)

Two courses from:

  • Biology (SBI4U - highly recommended)
  • Calculus and Vectors(MCV4U - highly recommended)
  • Chemistry (SCH4U - highly recommended)
  • Computer and Information Science (ICS4M)
  • Earth and Space Science (SES4U)
  • Math of Data Management (MDM4U)
  • Physics (SPH4U).
We strongly recommend that students applying for programs in the Biological and Medical sciences have both SCH4U and SBI4U.   Your chances of success in these programs is greatly increased with the proper foundational science courses.

PLANNING FOR 2013? PLEASE NOTE :

Grade 12 U Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) will replace Advanced Functions  (MHF4U) as a prerequiste  for admission to the Faculty of Science.  Furthermore, for those students who wish to pursue admission to the Biological and Medical Sciences first-entry program they will need  English ENG4U, Calculus and Vectors MCV4U, Biology SBI4U and Chemistry SCH4U.
