Introducing: Science Internship & Career Services

Over the last 2 years, the Science Internship Program has expanded to encompass all Science programs. The interest from students has grown substantially and continues to do so each year. For those students not involved in the Science Internship Program, there has also been increasing interest in Career Development events in the Faculty of Science – last year’s career panel was well attended, as were the job search workshops.

In order to meet the needs of this increased growth in number of students and breadth of programs involved, the Internship Office is very excited to announce that we have grown! Our staff has doubled in the last few weeks and our title has changed to Science Internship & Career Services [SICS], which is now comprised of Ms. Iwona Ciesielka, Manager, and Ms. Gail Wendt, Career Placement Officer. As a new “team”, we have been working fervently over the last few weeks to inform more industry partners about the Science Internship Program, as well as plan Career Development Events for the next few months.
